Types of dental prosthetics

Choosing a prosthetic depends on the general and oral health of the patient, their aesthetic preferences, functional needs, and economic condition. This is why we offer several options to help you choose the best one for you.

FIXED OR REMOVABLE PROSTHETICS

Fixed prosthetics can be crowns (one piece) or bridges (several joined pieces) made of porcelain, lithium disilicate, or zirconia with CADCAM technology. Removable prosthetics are made of resins and replace whole sections or parts of them. They may require metal reinforcement structures. Fixed and removable prosthetics can be used on implants, natural teeth, or a hybrid.

IMMEDIATE OR DEFERRED

Immediate prosthetics are placed after a tooth removal, so they are prepared in advance. The advantage is the instant visual fix and the confidence that comes with it. However, these prosthetics require revision and adjustments after the recovery phase to ensure an accurate and comfortable fit. Delayed prosthetics are placed after the healing and remodeling phase a few weeks after removal.
